Introduction

Isle of Anglesey County Council is considering the introduction of a visitor levy for the island.

A visitor levy is an additional charge you may pay when staying in visitor accommodation.

[The term 'small additional charge' was used in this questionnaire based on guidance from the Welsh Government. This has now been considered as being subjective. It has been removed and replaced by the term 'additional charge'.]

The money raised from the levy would be used to improve local tourism, to maintain local facilities and infrastructure, and to manage the impact of visitors to the area.

This questionnaire is intended to gather the views of residents, businesses, community organisations and visitors on the principle of a levy, how it might operate, and how any income raised should be used.

The questionnaire should take around 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
